The Division of Environmental Science & Engineering at POSTECH offers a 4-week internship program during the vacation period for 3rd- and 4th-year undergraduate science and engineering students who are interested in the environmental field. Participants can experience advanced scientific research firsthand in a laboratory of their choice under the guidance of faculty members, gaining early exposure to graduate-level research and helping them establish future research goals.
Among applicants from universities nationwide, approximately 20–30 students are selected each year. During the 4-week program, interns work in the POSTECH Environmental Engineering laboratories they applied for, receiving direct guidance from faculty, post-docs, and graduate students.
Participants will also have the opportunity to use state-of-the-art research equipment, join lab meetings,
lab MTs, and seminars, gaining experience similar to graduate school life.
In addition, interns receive a scholarship and free dormitory housing during the program
and participate in Open Lab events, special lectures, and visits to facilities such as
the Pohang Accelerator Laboratory and POSCO.

An active approach is to contact the professor or lab members via email to learn more details in advance.
This internship is not a simple lab tour or assistant role. Interns are assigned one research project and experience real graduate-level research under faculty supervision.
This helps students determine whether research suits their aptitude and assists greatly in future career planning.
