제10회 'Cross Straits Symposium on Materials, Energy and Environmental Engineering'

지난 1999년부터 실시하고 있는 POSTECH-일본 규슈대-부산대 3개 대학의 대학원생 연구교류 프로그램인 환경-에너지-재료 심포지움이 매년 규슈대, 부산대, POSTECH 순으로 개최해오고 있으며, 이 순서에 의거 올해 개최될 제10회 심포지엄은 11월 12일 부터 15일까지 규슈대학에서 개최될 예정입니다.

각 Session은 모두 영어로 진행되며, Oral과 Poster session으로 나누어 참가할 수 있습니다. 각 분야에서 발표를 희망하는 학생들은 아래와 같이 신청하시기 바랍니다.

Purpose of CSS

The aim of this symposium is to provide graduate students with the opportunity to present their scientific findings to oversea counterparts in English and exchange opinions not only on their research but on world-views. In this way, it is hoped that they will be exposed to many different viewpoints, thus providing them with a much broader perspectives.

II. 학생선발 (Selection)

1. 자격(Eligibility)

- Graduate Student of Material Sciences & Engineering, Mechanical Engineering,

Chemical Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Life Science, School of Environmental Science and Engineering

- Oral Presentation or Poster Presentation

2. 선발인원 (The number of Student)

- Oral Session : 각 분야(재료, 에너지, 환경)별 2명

- Poster Session : 선발인원 제한 없음

3. 참가비(Registration Fee)

- Student 4,000 Yen (40,000 won), Professor 6,000 Yen (60,000 won)

( banquet, coffee breaks 포함)

- Oral 발표자 및 Committee 교수님의 참가경비는 대학에서 부담하며, 단 Poster

발표희망자는 자격의 제한을 두지 않되, 경비는 지도교수의 연구비 또는 본인부담

으로 함.

1. Plenary lecture

Prepared by professors from each university with any topics related to:

POSTECH : Environment

30 minutes talk and 10 minutes discussion

2. Oral presentation

Each university selects two papers for each 3 oral sessions.

20 minutes (talk and discussion)

     3. Poster presentation

Each presenter of the Poster session should prepare 3~5 PPT slides and give 3 minutes speech at the Preposter session before starting the corresponding Poster session.

Poster should include title, authors, affiliation, purposes and results

(figures and table).

    4. Prepare pencils and papers for better communication

    5. The award system : good oral presentation/posters
