Announcement for the Launch of the POSTECH AI-Environment Program
POSTECH is launching AI-ENVIRONMENT program to provide graduate students with a new curriculum that applies AI technology to diverse environmental problems and solutions. We strongly encourage graduate students, who have keen interests in sustainable development and environmental issues, to register for the AI-Environment Program to take the lead in preparing for the emerging demands of new value creation and convergence research.
Eligibility & Requirements
POSTECH graduate students from all majors (MS, PhD, and Integrated MS-PhD)
Required credits: 13 credit hours (B+ or higher grade required for each course)
The completion of the Program will be officially acknowledged in the Diploma and Transcript.
The AI-Environment Program is an education program under the POSTECH School of Convergence Science and Technology.
The program will be open from 2021 Spring semester.
The required coursework
Division of Environmental Science and Engineering: Seven credit hours
Two required courses + one elective course
Introduction to Big Data for Environment
Introduction to Environmental Studies
Introduction to Environmental Engineering
Introduction to Climate Change
Special Topics in Environmental Engineering A-Z
Graduate School of Artificial Intelligence: Six credit hours
Two three credit-hour courses are required.
Each course should be in a different topic among the following three topics (Topic A, B, and C).
A Machine learning/ Deep learning
B Big Data/ Data mining
Applications of Mathematics and Big Dats
Big Data processing
C AI application and special topic
Introduction to Virtual Reality
Statistical Natural Language Processing
Topics in Artificial Intelligence A-Z
Application form submission and completion report
